view.
Notes:
– A factory reset deletes all loaded or installed applications (inclusive the MiVoice Office 400
application) and their configuration data from the SMB Controller. The LAN settings will be
changed to DHCP. The password of SMB Controller Manager will be restored to default
value.

Data backup
With a configuration data backup all the MiVoice Office 400 configuration data of the
communication server is stored in a compressed file in ZIP format. You can let the con-
figuration data backup run automatically (
Auto backup
) or as required (
Manual
backup
).
You can automatically copy the backup files to an FTP server or e-mail them.
With an audio data backup all the audio data of the communication server is backed up
in a compressed file in ZIP format. The backup of the audio data can only be done
manually.
You can find the automatic data backup and distribution service settings in the
WebAdmin
Maintenance
/
Data backup
(
=um
) view where you can also test the con-
figuration. Moreover, in this view, you can see the automatically and manually created
backup files and also restore or delete them.
The configuration backup and the audio data backup are always stored in a encrypted
format.
Note:
The backup may consist of several files. They are compiled by the communication server and
compressed into a ZIP file. During the Restore process the ZIP file is extracted by the commu-
nication server itself. To ensure the restore process to run smoothly, make sure you do not mod-
ify the ZIP file. Never extract or modify a backup file yourself.
