Commissioning the Radio

After verifying each radio, connect terminal equipment signals to the Access Panel and
the antenna port to the antenna feed.

Remove all loopbacks.

On a protected system, set A side online and set the state of all modules to AUTO (TX
and RX direction) with an LMT.

Major and minor alarms must be OFF and the normal LED ON to show normal operation
at both local and remote sites. There should be no module fail alarm on at either site.

Enter the current date and time in the QuikLink configuration screen (054). In the same
configuration screen, set AIS (052) to AUTO.

Press <Escape> to go back to the main menu.

Select 1, Performance Monitoring and 4, Reset Link to clear the statistics monitor
counters.

Select 1, View Link and verify error free performance.

Press <Escape> to go back to the main menu.

Select 2, Alarm and Status and 1, System Alarms.

Select 4, View/Print Alarm Log and 2, Clear Alarm Log.

The system will report back the time when the counters are reset.
