Do not brake suddenly while transporting the measuring system and the transport pallet.
The measuring system can fall off of the forklift! Prevent the measuring system from fall-
ing off the forklift, e.g. by using lashing straps.
Do not bypass or remove the limit switches.
Avoid shocks and impacts to the sensors.

Connect the power supply according to the safety regulations for electrical equipment.

The personnel training must also include the safety aspects.

Improper use: Any use other than those listed above is prohibited. Hazards can occur
with improper use. The personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary must be pro-
vided by the operating company.

Protective equipment: All protective equipment, including the devices installed by the
operating company, must be properly installed and functional before each start-up.
Safety devices may only be removed when the system is shut down and protected
against restarting of the measuring system (e.g. padlock on the main switch).

Informal safety precautions: The operating instructions must always be kept at the
measuring system. In addition to the operating instructions, the generally applicable
and local regulations for accident prevention and environmental protection must
also be provided and observed. All safety instructions and hazard warnings on the
measuring system must be kept in legible condition and replaced as needed.

Safety precautions in normal operation: Before the measuring system is switched
on, it must be ensured that nobody can be endangered from the measuring system
startup. The measuring system must be checked for external damage and the safety
equipment for functionality at least once a day.

Dangers due to electrical energy: Work on the electrical power supply must only be
performed by a qualified electrician. The electrical equipment of the system must be
checked regularly. Any loose or scorched connections must be remedied immediately.
The control cabinets must always be kept closed. Access is only permitted for
authorized personnel with a key or tool.

Dangers due to residual energy: Be aware that there may be residual mechanical and
electrical energy present. Appropriate precautions must be taken when instructing
staff. Read the detailed instructions in the corresponding sections.

repair work, the system must be disconnected from the power and the main switch
secured against an unexpected restart.
