Action
Selection field for the applicable action.
The options are:
•
Drop When you select this action, no data packets can pass and the pack-
ets will be deleted immediately. The sender receives no information about the
whereabouts of the data packets.
•
Reject The data packets are rejected. The sender receives a signal that the da-
ta packets have been rejected.
•
Accept Here, the data packets are allowed through.
LAN Interfaces
You can use this selection field to determine which LAN interface* should normally be
used. The options are:
•
Internal services
•
LAN Ethernet
•
All
Source IP
Enter the source IP addresses of incoming data packets for which the firewall rule ap-
plies. If you leave this field empty (blank), these rules will be applied to all data traffic
and only on the selected interface.
Acceptable input: IP address or netmask or List of IP addresses or Range of IP ad-
dresses [e.g. 192.168.0.100-192.168.0.200] or empty
Sourde Port
Enter the source ports of incoming data packets for which the firewall rule applies. If
you leave this field empty (blank), these rules will be applied to all data traffic and on-
ly on the selected interface.
Acceptable input: Integer or empty
Protocol
Selection field for the transfer protocol to use.
The options are:
•
All - the set rule applies to ALL protocols
•
TCP - the set rule applies only to the TCP protocol
•
UDP - the set rule applies only to the UDP protocol
•
ICMP - the set rule applies only for the ICMP protocol
WAN Interfaces
You can use this selection field to determine which WAN interface* should normally
be used.
The options are:
•
Internet
•
WAN Ethernet
•
OpenVPN
•
IPsecVPN
•
PPTPVPN
•
All
* The selection field for the WAN interface can vary depending on the type of router.
Destination IP
Enter the IP address to which data packets are to be forwarded.
Acceptable input: IP address or netmask or empty
