Place the flowsensor [1] on the flow stand holder [9] while the connector is
positioned at the rear (see Figure 6.2). The flowsensor can be fixed on the
flow stand holder with a M4 x 16 mm screw.
Place the urine container [5] onto the flowsensor [1].
Put the flow funnel [6] into the cup of chalice at the top of the stand.
When using batteries, you must open the battery compartment [4] by
pushing the two side clips. Insert the batteries while noticing the polarity
instructions as displayed in the battery compartment. Keep the
compartment symmetrical while placing it in the flowsensor. A click must be
heard at both sides. The green/red LED will flash as an indication that the
flowsensor is powered.
When using the power adapter of LABORIE (F3BT-PS), you must connect
the 5 Volt power adapter to the flowsensor [2]. Connect the other end of the
power supply to the mains. The green/red LED will flash as an indication
that the flowsensor is powered.
Register the Bluetooth flowmeter in the LABORIE software (see § 3.4).
Test the Bluetooth flowmeter in the hardware test (see § 6.4).
Enable the Bluetooth flowmeter in the investigation protocol and change the
settings if applicable (see § 6.2.3).
Test the performance of the Bluetooth flowmeter in the measurement
program (see § 6.2.4).
The software will search for the Bluetooth flowmeter at the start of the
investigation. The flowmeter is working fine, if the
Status
LED is blinking. If the
Bluetooth flowmeter is not found, please consult trouble shooting (see § 6.5).
It is always possible to connect the Bluetooth flowmeter to the Solar Blue
module by using a digital MMS-bus cable. Three conditions must be met:
the Solar Blue module needs to communicate with the computer via USB,
the Solar Blue module must be powered by the external power supply, and
the flowsensor must be connected to one of the digital MMS-bus ports of
the Solar Blue module (note: it is not possible to connect the power adapter
to the flowsensor as it is powered by the Solar Blue external power supply).
