Test Luna
Test pressure channels and solid state catheters
The easiest way to test the Luna and the catheters (solid state or air charged)
is by using a water-column of at least 100 cm.
The procedure is as follows:
Connect the catheter(s) to the connectors on the Luna.
Click the
Zero
button to zero all channels at atmospheric pressure
simultaneously. (You can also zero the individual channels by clicking the
0
button behind the pressure channels.)
Lower the catheter to 100 cm below the water surface of the water-column.
The pressures measured by the transducers are now shown in the window
as a value and as a horizontal bar. The readout on the screen should be
100 cmH
2
O. The maximum deviation may be 2 cmH
2
O plus the error of the
pressure transducers at 100 cmH
2
O, in accordance
to the manufacturer’s
specifications. Check if the channels display the correct pressure.
