Chapter 7
Figure 7.6
Puller buttons
In the top of the screen, the puller buttons are displayed as an indication
that the puller module is functioning.
The
Status
and
Battery
LED’s are on and the Bluetooth LED is blinking.
Consult trouble shooting if the puller is not found (see § 7.5).
Attach the catheter to the slider by means of the spring clamp and the piece
of silicon rubber.
Test the performance of the Bluetooth puller during the investigation. Note
that the slider is moving backwards, so there must be no obstacle at the
back side of the catheter puller.
The software will search for the Bluetooth puller at the start-up of the
investigation. The puller is working fine, if the
Status
LED is continuously lid
and the
Bluetooth
LED is blinking. If the Bluetooth puller is not found, please
consult trouble shooting (see § 7.5).
During the pre-test and the investigation, it is not possible to move the slider
forwards or backwards manually. The slider is locked in the puller enclosure
and controlled by the software. To unlock the slider, you must press the
Unlock slider
button on the puller control panel. If there is no Bluetooth
connection, you can place and move the slider in the enclosure easily.
If the puller (slider) has reached the pulling end during an investigation or pre-
test, then the message “Puller has stopped, end of slider detected” is
displayed. The puller stops and the slider is unlocked. You can reposition the
slider manually. The puller will return to its starting position automatically if
enabled in the protocol settings.
The catheter clamp on the slider contains a small piece of silicon rubber which
is necessary to clamp and slide the catheter. This silicon part can be replaced
easily with a small piece of silicon (15mm), e.g. of a pump tube. To obtain
optimal clamping force, you can bow the metal catheter clamp.
