3.7 Maintenance
In this paragraph, you will find cleaning and maintenance instructions for the
computer/laptop and peripherals of the Solar Blue measurement system.
Cleaning
On a monthly base, LABORIE recommends to clean the following parts with a
slightly moisturized cloth: outside of the computer, monitor, printer, keyboard
and mouse.
Maintenance
LABORIE advises to perform preventive maintenance at least once a year.
When malfunctions are found during the test procedures, refer to § 3.6 Trouble
shooting to fix the module. If you cannot repair the malfunction, contact your
LABORIE representative.
The procedure is as follows:

Check all parts on visible damage. Look for damaged connectors, plugs
and cables.

Perform a safety test in accordance to IEC 60601-1, for example with a
Bender safety tester.

Check all devices (modules) on availability. You can use the graphic
representation in the hardware test program.

Check all USB devices on availability, for example the USB key and printer.
Test if the USB devices are working properly.

Check in the System information via de TAB Computer if the available
options are detected.

Check the free space on your hard disk with the system information.

Run scandisk (standard Windows tool) to be sure that there are no errors
on the hard disk. For help on this subject, refer to the Windows manual. It is
recommended to back-up the hard disk, before scandisk is run.

Run the disk defragmenter (standard Windows tool) to be sure that the
Windows file system is in good shape. For help on this subject, refer to the
Windows manual. It is recommended to back-up the hard disk, before a
disk defragmentation is performed.

Test the printer by printing a test page or by printing a report from the
analysis program. If ink cartridges should be replaced, refer to the user’s
manual of the printer.
