This section contains function descriptions and operation functions for the GH-3100 Electronic Standby
Instrument System with software version 1.3, 1.4 or 3.0 installed. The Aircraft Flight Manual supplies
specific configuration information.
5.2 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
No scheduled maintenance is required to ensure continued airworthiness. Removal of components is on
condition of failure.
5.2.1 Front Panel Controls
The pilot interfaces with the indicator using an adjustment knob. Momentarily pressing the Push Button

5.2.1.1 Adjustment Knob
The adjustment knob is located in the lower right corner of the indicator. The knob may be rotated to the
right and left, as well as pushed in. Rotating the adjustment knob clockwise increases values and counter-
clockwise rotation decreases values. The adjustment knob does not pull out.
5.2.1.1.1 Barometric Correction
The adjustment knob is used to change the baro setting at all times except when in the menu mode or
when altitude is invalid. Rotating the knob clockwise increases the barometric setting, while rotating the
knob counter-clockwise decreases the barometric setting.
The range of the barometric setting is from 22.00 InHg to 31.00 InHg (745 HPA or MB to 1050 HPA or
MB) with increments of 0.01 InHg (1 HPA). When standard barometric pressure [29.92 IN HG or (1013
HPA or MB)] is desired, push in on adjustment knob and a display of “
STD
” appears in the barometric
display window. The baro setting value is restored after power is cycled.
