1.6 EQUIPMENT REQUIRED NOT SUPPLIED
NOTE
Equivalent tools and equipment may be used.
Air Data Test Set:
Used to verify air data operation of the GH-3100 Electronic Standby Indicator
and purchased from various manufacturers.
Cables and Wiring:
The installer will supply all system wires and cables. All wires are #22 AWG
(minimum) unless otherwise noted on interconnect wiring diagram. Use
M22759 or equivalent wire and use M27500 or equivalent for twisted
shielded wire for installation.
Calibration Test Set:
Used to calibrate the MAG-3000 or MAG-3100 Magnetometer. Purchase the
JT-147A (P/N 570-8552-01) from Avionics Systems. Refer to Figure 1-2.
The JT-147A is a package of calibration test equipment that includes the
following:
•
Calibration Test Box (JT-147A has no scheduled maintenance interval).
•
MAT-3000A Transmitter Assembly (P/N 501-1846-01).
•
Test Box Cable (P/N 501-8552-10).
•
GH-3100 Adapter Cables (P/N 570-8984-01 and P/N 570-8984-02).
The MAT-3100 Transmitter (P/N 9200-21250-01) is used only for the
MAG-3100 and is a part of the test set only upon request.
Circuit Breaker:
Installer responsible for determining appropriate circuit breakers needed to
protect aircraft wiring. The manufacturer recommends the following:
•
3.0 Amp circuit breaker for the GH-3100
•
1.0 Amp circuit breaker for the optional MAG-3000 or MAG-3100
Connector Installation
Tools:
MAG-3000, J1 Interconnect 13-pin (plug P/N M39029/57-354).
Crimp tool and positioner/locator meeting MIL specification M22520/1-01 is
required to install plugs.
