Disassembly
Shut Off Fuel Supply
Drain Oil from Crankcase and Remove Oil
Filter
1. Clean the oil
fi
lter and housing area. Remove and
discard the oil
fi
lter. See Figure 8-2.

2. Remove the dipstick and one of the oil drain
plugs. See Figures 8-3 and 8-4.

3. Allow ample time for the oil to drain from the
crankcase.

Housing
1. Remove the top mounting screw and loosen the
two shoulder screws on each side. Li

2. Remove the four mounting screws and separate
the blower housing from the lower half. See

Remove Electric Starter Motor
1. Disconnect the leads from the starter.
2. Remove the two hex

ange screws and starter.
