is available on

www.kingfisherfiber.com

and

enables instrument control and transfer of live or stored data to an
Excel spreadsheet, making it ideal for data logging and reporting in

the field. KITS™ can be easily customised to change language,

terminology or to add new reporting features.

The user manual for this software is downloaded and installed with the
software. Alternatively, it is on our web site.

Functions currently supported by KITS™ are:

Live Power Meter display

•

One-Way Autotest loss reporting, also followed by merging one
direction data into a bidirectional test.

•

Two Way Autotest Loss, ORL and Length

•

Spreadsheet to record loss measurements with direct click-and

point data insertion or memory download

•

Unformatted data dump

•

Data logging with graph and statistical information

•

When connected to an instrument, the software remotely
controls the instrument. The test is typically then controlled from
the computer, which makes for easier overall operation.

•

Data security is achieved via a combination of checksums on

data files, and Secure Mode within the spreadsheet.

•

Pass/Fail according to many common test standards can be

selected, or you can enter details of new or in-house test

standards. Pass/Fail parameters created in KITS can be
uploaded to a Two-Way tester, to ensure that it has the same
pass/fail criteria.

We suggest instrument firmware update is only performed if advised

by our customer support staff. Please refer to our web site product
page for downloads, procedures, and pre-requisites.

When updating firmware, it would be usually advisable to get the latest
user manual from our web site.
