3.5 Operating modes
The operating modes can be divided into basic func-
tions and may be triggered by various systems such
as:
Control element or key
OPL 5 control unit
Sensors
Allocation of symbols to functions e.g. the sym-
bols on the keyboard of the OPL 05 control unit and
their basic functions
Symbol Function
Block:
Door element immediately blocks (passa-
ge barred).
Release:
Door element can be turned by hand.
Permanent release, incoming:
Controlled by sensors, door elements
opens in incoming direction*.
Permanent release, outgoing:
Controlled by sensors, door elements
opens in outgoing direction*.
Single release, incoming:
Door opens for one passage only, in inco-
ming direction.
Single release, outgoing:
Door opens for one passage only, in out-
going direction.
* Depending on the unit settings, this key may also
trigger permanent opening.

Home position all off
In day mode, the light is off where there is no
release.
In the event of a release, the light shows green in
the direction of passage and red in the opposite
direction.
Green is cancelled depending on the priority set-
ting (throughout or identi cation).
In the event of a permanent release, the light
shows green in the direction of the permanent
release; for individual releases in the opposite
direction the light turns red for the duration of the
passage.
3.1.4 Card reader (optional)
Two possible versions:

3.2 Behaviour during
commissioning
During commissioning, the door leafs are adjusted
automatically. The door leaves move into the set
standard positions.
3.3 Behaviour in the event of a
mains interruption
In the event of a power cut, the door leaves, pow-
ered by a battery pack, move to the open position.
3.4 Behaviour upon return of
power
Upon return of power, the door leafs are adjusted
automatically. The door leaves move into the set
standard positions.
