2.6.1.3 Carrying out the expert inspection
In principle, all further expert inspections
should be carried out in precisely the same
way as the initial inspection.
There are only two differences:
In the inspection book, ll in the table «Re-
curring inspection and maintenance».

The type of use may have been changed or
modi cations with relevance for safety may
have been made in the area surrounding the
unit.
First inspect the usage safety.

Note the following points with regard to the
expert inspection
For each inspection, the service technician must
ll in and sign an inspection list.
The operator must countersign the inspection list.
The signed inspection list serves as evidence
for the installation company.
The operator makes one copy of the signed
inspection list. The inspection list must be stored
for at least one year, in accordance with DIN
18650-2, No. 5.1.3.

Note the following points when documenting the
expert inspection in the inspection book
The service technician must document the out-
come of the expert inspection in the inspection
book.
The operator must countersign the inspection
book.
The inspection book serves as evidence for ex-
pert inspections and maintenance work.
The maintenance work may be carried out as
part of the expert inspection.
The operator must retain the inspection book for
the entire service life of the unit.
It must be possible for the authorities to view the
contents of the inspection book at any time.
2.6.2 Detection of faults
If faults are detected during the expert inspection,
the following measures must be taken:
The service company requests that the operator
resolve the faults.
The inspector requests that the Kaba partner
responsible draws up an offer for the work.
