2.2.4 Particular user groups/change in use
DANGER
Risk of injury for particular user groups
Depending on the type of use, e.g. suitability
for children, frail persons or disabled persons,
additional safety measures going beyond
the basic equipment may be necessary with
automatic doors.
Carry out a risk assessment.
DANGER
Risk of injury with change in use
In the event of a change in use or modi ca-
tions to the area around the unit, new risks
that have not yet been taken into account
may arise.
In such cases, carry out a risk assessment
procedure or have this carried out by KGB
or an authorised trading partner.
Further safety equipment may be necessary.
KGB or KGB’s sales and trade partners will be
happy to advise you.

Risk of accident as a result of an incorrect
risk assessment or failure to carry out a
risk assessment
To avoid accidents, please note:
Carry out a risk assessment before ordering
the unit.
The operator is obliged to carry out a risk
assessment, or have one carried out, for
each project.

2.2.2 Correct use
DANGER
Risk of injury if used incorrectly
Argus HSG units from KGB are used to sepa-
rate spatial zones. When passing through
the unit, you pass from spatial zone A, e.g.
outside) to spatial zone B (e.g. inside).
A brie ng may be necessary, depending on
the unit.
Any other use, or use going beyond this
description, shall be deemed to be improp-
er use of the equipment.
KGB shall not be liable for damages result-
ing from such use, rather liability shall lie
with the operator.
2.2.3 Briefing on correct use
of Argus HSG
Users must be briefed by the operator.
In the case of units with supervisory personnel
(e.g. doormen), the supervisory member of staff
shall give the brie ngs if necessary.
Users who have not been briefed may pass
through the unit if accompanied by a user who
has received a brie ng.
