2.3 Technical
dangers
Technical dangers are principally of relevance
for specialist personnel. They arise during
maintenance and servicing.
DANGER
Risk of injury from electric current
A voltage of 230 V AC is required to operate
the unit.
The connection must be carried out cor-
rectly and in accordance with the relevant
applicable regulations.
Should incidents occur which are not listed in
these instructions, the manufacturer must be
noti ed of these without delay.
It is vital that the accident prevention regula-
tions and the recognised technical safety in-
structions, see e.g. DIN 18650, are followed.
2.4
Qualification of service
personnel
DANGER
Risk of injury with incompetent mainte-
nance and service personnel
Units that have been incorrectly set can lead
to injuries , e.g. impacts or squashing.
Personnel must have the necessary unit-
speci c knowledge to install and maintain
the unit (see
Section 2.4.1 Safety instruc-
tions for automatic door systems
).
Repairs and maintenance may only be
carried out be personnel who are familiar
with the relevant safety instructions for
automatic door systems and hold authori-

Section 2.4.2 Unit-

).
2.4.1 Safety instructions for automatic
door systems

with the FTA (Fachverband Türautomation - Asso-
cation for Door Automation) guidelines, Part B, see
Section 2.5 Expert inspection and inspection book
Location/provider of the expert inspection
The course can be followed with KGB or another
provider recognised by the FTA.
2.4.2 Unit-specific
knowledge
KGB offers appropriate courses in Bühl.
KGB will also carry out course at other sites on
request.
2.5 Expert inspection and
inspection book
2.5.1 Time and frequency of the expert
inspection
For systems that are subject to BGR 232 and DIN
18650, an expert inspection must be carried out
