Attaching the trailer
CAUTION!
Trapping hazard
There is a trapping risk when you attach a trailer.
X
Follow the instructions of the coupling manufacturer if using special trailer
couplings.
X
Secure the trailer to prevent it from rolling away before coupling it.
X
Do not get caught between the truck and the tiller when coupling the trailer.
X
The tiller must be horizontal, tilted down by no more than 10° and never facing up.
Attaching the trailer
Requirements
– Truck and trailer are on a level surface.
– Trailer prevented from rolling away.
Procedure
• Push the tow pin (153) down and turn it 90°.
• Pull the tow pin up and insert the tiller of the
trailer into the opening.
• Insert the tow pin, push it down, turn it 90
degrees and engage it.
The trailer is now attached to the truck.

To additionally ensure safe operation, the truck can be fitted with an electrical
connection for trailers with lighting.
