Disassembly/Reassembly
VEGA™ Series Banknote Validator
Section 4
Stacker Belt Removal
To remove the VEGA Unit’s Stacker Belts,
proceed as follows:
1. Open the Cash Box Door (Figure 4-23
a
) and
remove the two (2) Mounting Screws located
inside the Cash Box (Figure 4-23
b

).
2. Carefully spread both upper sides of the Cash
Box apart (Figure 4-24
a
) and gently pull the
Pusher Unit forward (Figure 4-24
b
) out of the
Cash Box (Figure 4-24
c
).
3. Remove the two (2) Mounting Screws (Figure 4-
a
1
&
a
2
) retaining Cash Box Turn Course
located on each side of the Pusher Unit (Figure 4-
25
b
).
4. Pull the Cash Box Turn Course off the Pusher
Unit (Figure 4-25
c
).
5. Remove the single (1) E-Ring with single (1)
Bushing (Figure 4-26
a
) from left end of the Box
Drive Shaft.
6. Remove the two (2) E-Rings (Figure 4-26
b

&
b
2
), the two (2) Gears (Figure 4-26
c
1
&
c
2
) and
the two (2) Set Pins (Figure 4-26
d

&

) located
on the right side of the Pusher Unit (Figure 4-26
e
).
7. Slide the Crank Drive Shaft (Figure 4-26

) out of
the Pusher Unit.
8. Remove the two (2) Mounting Screws (Figure 4-
a

&
a
2
) retaining the Right Cash Box Link
Frame (Figure 4-27
b
) to the center Ceiling Board
Assembly (Figure 4-27
c
), and separate the Right
Cash Box Link Frame from the Ceiling Board.
9. Remove the single (1) Stacker Belt with its
related Pulleys (Figure 4-27
d
) from the right side
of the Right Cash Box Link Frame.
10. Remove the single (1) Set Pin (Figure 4-27
e
)
retaining the Shaft in the Ceiling Board Assem-
bly.
