Section 4 VEGA™ Series Banknote Validator Disassembly/Reassembly
Sub-Circuit Board Removal
To remove the VEGA Unit’s Sub-Circuit Board,
proceed as follows:
1. Remove the five (5) Sub-Circuit Board Mounting
Screws (Figure 4-12 a

through a

) from the back
side of the removed Lower Transport Unit.
2. Unplug the single Sub-Circuit Board Connector
(Figure 4-13 a ) from the Lower Transport Unit
(Figure 4-13 b ).
3. Lift the Carrier Base (Figure 4-13 c ) up and off
the Lower Transport Unit.
4. Unplug the two (2) Inter-Assembly Harness (Fig-
ure 4-14 a ) from the Sub-Circuit Board.
5. Remove the four (4) Sub-Circuit Board Mounting
Screws (Figure 4-15 a

through a

) and unplug
the three (3) Connectors (Figure 4-15 b ) located
on the back side of the Sub-Circuit Board (Figure
4-15
c ).
6. Lift the Sub-Circuit Board up and off the Base
Frame (Figure 4-15 d ).
