Restoring Default Settings for Single-Controller Models
To restore default settings for single-controller models, follow these steps.
1. Stop all host I/Os.
2. Save the current configuration by using the “
Export NVRAM
” function. Users
can use the
to export existing settings (refer to the illustration below)
or alternatively users may refer to the firmware utility.

3. Make a list of the existing ID/LUN mapping information (refer to SANWatch
manual) because the default restoration will erase the ID/LUN mapping
associations (e.g., which logical drive is associated with which host ID/LUN)
4. Power off the RAID system (refer to
).
5. Press and hold the Restore Default button

on the Controller. You may use a
straighten paper clip or the tip of a pen to press the button. While pressing the
Restore Default button down, power on the RAID system.
