6. Remove the

protective caps from the LC-to-LC type cable. Save the
protective caps for future use.
7. Carefully insert the cable into an SFP module that is already on the system. The
cable connector is keyed and will click into place.
8. Remove the protective caps on the other end and connect this end to an SFP
transceiver module on a Fibre Channel switch port or a Fibre Channel host bus
adapter (HBA) port.
