Installing Hard Drive Brackets
The hard drive bracket for the S48 series comes in three pieces. There is a

rail
plate,
(2)
handle anchor plate and a
(3)
handle plate. The three pieces are designed
to be attached to the non-connector end (opposing side to the connector). Looking at
the bottom of the hard drive (circuit board side) with the interface connectors pointed
towards the ground, the rail plate is secured onto the right side of the hard drive by
using a supplied

flathead screw while the
(2)
handle anchor plate is also secured
by a flathead screw to the opposing side. The

handle plate is fitted on the edge of
the handle anchor plate by two
(5)
ball-and-socket joints. Place the bracket installed
hard drives on a flat steady surface and observe all ESD prevention methods until
you are ready to install them into the system drawer.
