Replacing / upgrading the FBM
To replace the FBM, follow these steps:
1.
Remove the controller module from the chassis
(refer to
Module(s): Single / Dual / Simultaneous Upgrade
).
2. Remove the

BBU module (see the previous section).
3. Remove the

top screw and
(3)
side screw of the
(4
) top cover and remove it
from the controller chassis.

Pull the (5) retention latch away from the (6) FBM.
Use your finger nails if the
FBM does not easily disengage Once released, the flash module will pop up. You
can then remove it from the socket.
5.
Insert the replacement FBM into the socket at a 15 degree angle.
When fully
inserted, press the flash module down until it is snapped by the retention latch.
6. Install the top screw, side screw, top cover and the BBU back to their original
positions. Reinsert the controller back into the enclosure (refer to
