EonStor DS S12/S16/S24 Series Hardware Manual

Hot-swapping

The subsystem comes with a number of hot-swappable components that can be

exchanged while the subsystem is still online without affecting the operational

integrity. These components should only be removed from the subsystem when they

are being replaced.

The following components are hot-swappable:



Controller module (in dual-controller models)



PSU (including cooling modules)



Hard

drive

NOTE

Normalized airflow ensures sufficient cooling of the subsystem and is only attained

when all components are properly installed. Therefore, a failed component should

only be removed when a replacement is available. Instructions on how to replace

these hot-swappable components are given in Chapter
