The S16E-R/G2142 series are equipped with six 1Gb/s iSCSI ports with four located at the top

left corner and two at bottom center.

1.4.4

CBM (Cache Backup Module) for RAID Models

The Cache Backup Module (CBM), located inside the controller, consists of a battery

backup unit (BBU) and flash backup module (FBM). The CBM can sustain cache

memory after a power failure. The use of a CBM is highly recommended in order to

safeguard data integrity. If you are using the single controller models and would like

to install a CBM, refer to page 52,
