Front Panel Components

The modular design of the active components facilitates their easy installation and

removal. Hot-swap mechanisms are incorporated to eliminate power surges and

signal glitches that might occur while removing or installing these modules. Each

component is further described below:

1.3.1

LCD/LED Panel

LCD Keypad Panel for RAID Models

The LCD keypad panel provides full access to RAID configuration settings and

system information. The LCD initial screen displays the system’s model name. A

different name can be manually assigned to the system making it easier to identify in

a topology consisting of numerous arrays.

Note that mounting holes are hidden behind the plastic covers on the chassis ears.
