Remove
the
blade
server
cover

or
SCSI
storage
expansion
unit

5.
Pivot
the
I/O
board
tray
to
the
upward
position.
6.
Remove
all
components
(see
the
appropriate
installation
instructions
and
reverse
the
steps),
and
place
them
on
a
static-protective
surface
for
reinstallation.

A
microprocessor
assembly
comes
with
a
new
heat
sink.
b.
A
processor
board
does
not
come
with
a
heat
sink.
When
replacing
the
processor
board
and
reinstalling
an
existing
microprocessor,
be
sure
to
re-install
the
heat
sink

grease”
on

7.
Remove
the
six
screws
that
secure
the
heat-sink
retention
bracket
to
the
processor
board
and
the
blade
server
chassis,
and
put
the
screws
and
the
module
in
a
safe
place.

Remove
the
heat-sink
retention
bracket
from
the
blade
server.
