Engine Servicing

Cylinder Head Inspection

Cylinder Head

Remove the carbon deposits from the combustion
chamber or exhaust port.
Use care not to scratch the combustion chamber or
the head gasket surface.

Check the spark plug hole and valve area for cracks.

(1) VALVE

This machine's intake and exhaust valves are titani-
um with a special coating.
If the brown coating of the valve is removed, or the
metal surface is appeared, replace the valve with a
new one.

Check the valve for wear or damage.

(1) VALVE LIFTER

Check that the top and outer surface of the valve
lifter for wear or damage.
