Frame Servicing
Push the piston all the way in to allow installation of
new brake pads.
Check the brake fluid level in the vinyl tube as this
operation causes the level to rise.
Remove the pad pins, pads and pad spring.

(1) PAD PINS (2) PAD PIN PLUGS
Tighten the pad pins.
Torque: 18 N•m (1.8 kgf•m, 13 lbf•ft)
Install and tighten the pad pin plugs.
Torque: 1.5 N•m (0.15 kgf•m, 1.1 lbf•ft)
Install the rear wheel (page 5-20).
Clean inside the brake caliper, especially around the
caliper piston.
Position the pad spring in the caliper as shown.
Install the new pads by pushing the pads against the
caliper to depress the pad spring.
Install the pad pins.
