(1) EXHAUST PIPE SPRING

Muffler/Exhaust Pipe

Removal

Remove the exhaust pipe spring.

Remove the muffler band bolt and exhaust pipe
mounting bolt, then remove the muffler.

Remove the radiator lower mounting bolt/nut.

Remove the Ty-Raps

®

and exhaust pipe heat protec-

tor.

Remove the exhaust pipe joint bolts and exhaust
pipe.

Install the exhaust pipe and muffler in the reverse
order of removal.

Replace the exhaust pipe gasket with a new one.
Install the muffler and exhaust pipe mounting bolts
and nuts loosely, tighten the exhaust pipe joint bolts
first, the tighten the mounting bolts/nuts.
