Service and Maintenance

(1) DRIVE SPROCKET (2) NUMBER OF TEETH

Install the drive sprocket with its etched number
(number of teeth) facing outward.

Sprockets

Drive Sprocket Replacement

Remove the lower cowl.
Loosen the drive chain (page 3–15).

Shift the transmission into low gear, apply the rear
brake.

Remove the following:
– Drive sprocket bolt
– Drive sprocket collar
– Spring washer
– Drive sprocket
