To replace an assembly
Refer to the exploded view of the oscilloscope, figure 4–11 (figure 4–12 for
Option 005 board), for details on how the oscilloscope fits together. To
install an assembly, follow the instructions in reverse order.
You will need the following tools to disassemble the oscilloscope:
•
T15 TORX driver to remove the oscilloscope from the cabinet and to
remove the fan.
•
T10 TORX driver to remove the assemblies from the deck.
•
Flat-blade screwdriver to remove the optional modules and the pouch.
•
9/16-inch nut driver or wrench to remove BNC nut.

Remove the oscilloscope from the cabinet.

Turn off the oscilloscope and disconnect the power cable.

If a module is installed, remove it from the oscilloscope.

Using the T15 TORX driver, remove the two screws from the rear of
the cabinet.

Using your thumbs, gently push on the two rear-panel connectors to
slide the oscilloscope out of the cabinet.

Remove the faulty assembly.
You can remove any of the following six assemblies: fan, front panel, display,
system board, power supply, and keyboard.
