Getting ready for maintenance work
Warning:
Failure to comply with the following guidelines may result in serious or fatal
injuries, damage to the tractor and environment.
In general, to avoid any dangers, damage to the tractor, and voided warranty while performing
maintenance work:
l
Ensure that the tractor is stationary, inoperative and securely parked during any maintenance
work.
l
Do not remove or render inoperative any safety and protection devices. The safety and protection
devices must be fully functional at any time.
l
Do not leave the tractor unattended while the engine is running.
l
Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with the health and safety rules
and regulations applicable in your area.
l
Use appropriate containers to capture leaking or drained fluids.
l
Dispose of captured fluids according to the rules and regulations applicable in your area.
l
Do not perform welding, sawing, and grinding work on safety-critical parts such as the tractor
frame, axles, or trailer coupling (?).
l
Allow only trained specialists to perform welding.
l
Before the initial operation and after any maintenance or repair work, ensure that the tractor and
attachments are inspected for traffic and operational safety.
Before any maintenance work, ensure the following:
1. Tractor is parked on level ground with no inclination.
2. Tractor is stationary:
l
Drive direction switch is in neutral.
l
Drive program switch is set to 0.
l
Parking brake is engaged.
Danger:
Risk of intoxication
Do not run the engine in enclosed spaces without proper ventilation or exhaust extraction.
Failure to comply will result in serious or fatal injuries.
Following maintenance plan
Maintenance work on the tractor has to be performed regularly and according to the maintenance plan
outlined in Holder's maintenance plan booklet. As a guideline, the maintenance plan uses operating
hours. As soon as a certain number of operating hours is reached, the appropriate maintenance
