11. Maintenance Procedures
100
Wear suitable personal protective equipment when handling fluids and lubricants (safety clothing, safety
goggles, safety gloves).
Immediately change soaked clothing and shoes.
After eye contact, rinse thoroughly (at least 10 minutes) with clear water and immediately see an
ophthalmologist. In case of intensive skin contact with the substances, wash them off with soap and
water.
Risk of slipping
Do not spill fluids and lubricants or allow them to escape. Remove leaked or spilled fluids immediately
with an oil binding agent and dispose of them in an environmentally correct manner. Avoid mixing
fluids and lubricants with water.
Always store oil in containers that comply with environmental regulations.
If you disregard these guidelines, there is a possibility of severe or fatal injuries or of harm to the
environment.
To recommission the tractor after shutdown:
1. Clean the tractor thoroughly (what exactly?).
2. Lubricate the tractor. Follow
Greasing joints and shafts
procedure.
3. Check the battery for condition and state of charge (?). Follow
Checking battery and battery
disconnect switch
. Recharge if necessary.
4. Reverse engine preservation:
a. Remove the plugs from the intake and exhaust opening.
b. Drain corrosion-protection oil and rinse oil pan with engine oil (how?)
c. Refit (install a new gasket?) the oil drain plug with a new gasket.
d. Fill the tractor with new engine oil. See Checking engine oil procedure for the instructions
on how to add engine oil.
e. After recommissioning, check the engine oil level several times (per day?).
5. Test the tractor:
a. Check hydraulic oil for condensation water. Replace (remove and add new? how?)
hydraulic oil if necessary. See Checking hydraulic oil procedure for the instructions on how
to add hydraulic oil.
b. Perform maintenance work as before initial operation. (Routine inspection?)
c. Fuel the tractor. Follow
Fueling
procedure.
d. Replace brake fluid. See
Checking level of brake fluid
procedure for the instructions on
how to add brake fluid.
e. Start the tractor. (Start the engine?)
6. At start-up, check the following:
a. tightness of servo pumps (how?)
b. tractor hydraulics, shifting and steering functions (too vague)
c. brakes, parking brake, working hydraulics (?), functions (?) and working movements (?)
