3. Set the high/low cable to the middle position.
4. Set the drive direction switch to neutral.
5. Set the drive program switch to 0.
Note:
Steering without hydraulic assistance, when the engine is off, requires extra force.
6. Ensure that the towing speed does not exceed 5 km/h (3 mph).
7. If towing is due to brake failure on the C992, attach and secure a towing bar to the front bumper
top link block of the C992 tractor. If the front bumper is not easily accessible, you can attach and
secure the towing bar to the rear block of the C992 tractor.
Transporting/loading C992
Warning:
Only persons authorized to transport or load a damaged vehicle can perform this
procedure.
This procedure provides instructions on how to transport the C992 tractor onto a flatbed trailer or tractor
trailer when it is unsafe to tow the C992 tractor.
Danger:
Risk of tractor falling down or tipping over
Transporting and loading C992 is a hazardous procedure and must be executed as outlined.
Failure to comply can result in serious or fatal injuries, and damage to the tractor and
environment.
To transport the C992 tractor:
Danger:
Never stand or walk under or near the C992 tractor that is being loaded. There is a
risk of fatal injury.
1. Load the C992 onto either a flatbed trailer or transport trailer.
2. Park the C992 tractor on the transporting vehicle.
3. Secure the C992 tractor with wedges.
4. Ensure that the parking brake on the C992 tractor is engaged.
Caution:
Use only straps, chains, and binders that comply with Holder requirements (?).
5. Secure the C992 tractor in the front at the top link slide and in the back at the towing device.
