Passenger Side Sump Gravity Drain Valve
Debris Cage Raised For Dumping
Gravity Wastewater Drains
Wastewater can also be drained by gravity from
the sump directly to the ground by opening the
one of the drain valves located on each side of
the sump. To use the gravity drain system, make
sure the DIRTY WATER switch is OFF. Open the
valve on the low side of the skid. Wastewater will
continuously flow from the sump to the valve as
it passes through the filter to the sump. The drain
system must be monitored periodically during
operation and cleaned as necessary.
NOTICE:
IF BOTH DRAIN vALvES ARE BLOCKED WITH DEBRIS
PREvENTING WASTEWATER FROM DRAINING, THE vACUUM
SYSTEM CAN BE BRIEFLY ACTIvATED FOR 30 SECONDS WITH
THE vALvES OPEN TO DRAW AIR THROUGH THE vALvES AND
CLEAR DEBRIS FROM THE vALvES AND DRAIN FITTINGS.
Debris Cage Dump System
Solid debris is separated from the wastewater by
the 100 micron filter bag and needs to be dumped
when the debris cage is near full. Hydraulic rams
below the tank lift the passenger side, causing the
tank to tilt for easy dumping. The tank is designed
with enough ground clearance to empty into most
industrial dumpsters.
The hydraulic rams are controlled by the remote
control switches that plugs into the grey junction
box located near the TANK/SEPARATOR toggle
switch on the driver side of the truck chassis.
The remote switch performs different functions
depending on the mode selected with the toggle
switch. Make sure it is set to the TANK position.
(Refer to the Dumping Debris Procedure in the
Operation section of this manual).
Always make sure the truck is on level, solid
ground with the separator lowered to the transport
position before dumping debris. After dumping,
use a hose to clean the tank and sump thoroughly
with fresh water. Then install a new filter bag.
The debris bag should be checked at the beginning
of the shift as part of the pre-start procedure or
when you believe it may be reaching its capacity.
It should also be checked at the end of each shift.
Debris should never be left in the cage for a period
of more than two days. Debris will harden and
conform to the shape of the cage walls making it
very difficult to dump.
