12. Make sure all personnel are clear, then set truck
speed dial to desired speed.
13. With vehicle moving at the desired speed, turn
the DUMP VALVE 40K switch ON to activate the
dump valve and begin water blasting operations.
WARNING
ANY CONTACT WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER IS vERY
DANGEROUS AND CAN BE FATAL! USE EXTREME CAUTION
WHILE RAISING OR MOvING HOG HEAD & ARM ASSEMBLY
WHEN HIGH PRESSURE IS ENGAGED.
3.5 Setting Blasting Pressure &
Verifying UHP System Operation
Maximum blasting pressure, 40,000 psi (2758
BAR), is typically achieved with the auxiliary en-
gine operating at 2350 RPM. If a different blast
-
ing pressure is required or you need to test the
nozzles and verify spray bar operation, use the
following procedure.
1.
Make sure the truck and skid are configured
in work mode with the truck PTO engaged and
the engine speed set to 2000 RPM.
2. Make sure the HEAD ROTATION and TRUCK
SPEED dials are set to 0.
3. Turn the FLOAT SWITCH OFF and raise the
Hog Head until the spray bar and nozzles are
visible.
4. Turn the Charge Pump switch ON and monitor
the charge water pressure gauge. Charge wa-
ter pressure should rise to 60 psi (4 Bar) within
10 seconds. If no pressure or a lower pressure
is indicated, there is a problem that must be
corrected before operations can continue.
