Operation
• Caster Wheel Height - Adjustment may be
required to increase shroud distance from the
pavement to clear obstacles like road markers
or decrease clearance when no obstacles are
present. Remove the safety pin, then rotate
the handle on each caster to set the height.
Reinsert the safety pin to lock the adjustment.
•
Vacuum Separator Wiper Blades - The vacuum
drum wiper blades must be checked at the
start of each shift and frequently during op-
eration. The blades must be changed if they
are damaged or badly worn. Shutdown the
vacuum system, then rotate the separator
drum to expose the bolts securing the worn
or damaged blade. Loosen the bolts and re-
move the old blade. Install the new blade and
tighten the bolts.
• Clean The Vacuum Filter - The filter should
be cleaned at the start of each shift and may
require cleaning during the shift if reduced
vacuum pressure is indicated. Shutdown the
vacuum system. Open the lid on the vacuum
separator, then remove and clean the filter.
Reinstall the filter, then close and latch the lid.
•
Clean Debris Cage Sump Drains - If the debris
cage sump drains become clogged during a
shift, they must be cleaned to prevent the
sump from overflowing. Shutdown the water
blasting system and clean debris from the
sump and drain fittings so accumulated water
can be drained by the gravity drain system or
the wastewater transfer pump. Thoroughly
clean and flush the sump.
