2.4 Hog Arm and Hog Heads
Overview
The Hog Arm assembly is mounted to the forward
side of the skid on the driver side, just behind the
cap. Switches in the cab control panel raise or
lower the arm and control most functions of the
Hog Head (blasting head). The hydraulic system
provides the power to raise or lower the Hog Arm
and drive the hydraulic motor that rotates the
spray bar in the blasting head.
The truck must be running with the PTO engaged
before the hydraulic system will operate. (Refer
to the Startup procedure in the Operation section
of this manual).
The Hog Arm is mounted on a slide track that al-
lows the arm to be slid IN and secured behind the
cap during transport and slid OUT to the work posi-
tion when on the job site. When the arm is in the
work position with the hog head on the pavement,
