Swash to Throttle Mixing
A swash to throttle mix is typically used to increase main rotor RPM when a swash control command is
input to the helicopter. The increased RPM compensates for the loss of lift due to tilting the rotor.
1. From the Model menu, rotate the jog dial to highlight
“SWASH>THRO” and press the jog dial once to enter the
activation menu.
2. Press the jog dial again to activate the menu.
3. Rotate the jog dial to select ACT (activate), then press the jog
dial to confirm your selection and activate the swash-throttle
menu.
4. Scroll to the function field (“AILE” or “ELEV”). If “AILE” is not
the current function, press the jog dial to activate the menu.
Otherwise, skip to step 6.
5. Scroll to select “AILE” and press the jog dial to confirm your
selection.
6. Scroll to the top row of the value table (“AILE”) and press the
jog dial to activate the menu.
7. By scrolling, you can highlight either the “L/U” (left/up), the
“R/D” (right/down) field, or both fields. If you want the swash to
throttle mix to be the same for both directions of aileron swash
travel (most common), highlight both fields and press the jog
dial.
8. Rotate the jog dial to input the desired throttle compensation
when a left roll command is given. Press the jog dial to confirm
your input.
9. Scroll to highlight the “EXP” field and press the jog dial to
activate the selection.
10. Rotate the jog dial to input the desired exponential travel of
the throttle servos when reacting to this mix. The setting does
not affect exponential travel of the servo when throttle stick
inputs are given.
