13. Scroll to highlight “S/W” and press the jog dial to bring up the
switch sub-menu.

14. Rotate the jog dial to select a switch to activate the pitch curve. Press the jog dial to confirm your selection.
a. If you choose the “NULL” option, the set pitch curve will remain active at all times for this model.
Pitch Adjust Feature:
Program the LS, RS, LT, or RT switches to work as in-flight adjustment
control for pitch curve.

16. Rotate the jog dial to select a switch to adjust the pitch curve mix during flight. Press the jog dial to
confirm your selection.
a.If you choose the “NULL” option, in-flight adjustment is disabled.
b. If you choose a switch:
- The current switch position will be displayed in the top right
field of the display as “0”, “1”, or “2”.
- Repeat steps 4-8 to define pitch curve for every switch position.
b. If you choose a switch:
- Highlight the “RATE” field and press the jog dial to activate the
menu.
15. Scroll to highlight “HOVER” and press the jog dial to activate
the menu.
- Rotate the jog dial to input the desired rate that the switch will influence the pitch curve (0-100). Press
the jog dial to confirm your selection.
17. The “I/O” (input/output) field is display only. It shows the value of the pitch channel and throttle stick
as you actuate the relevant controls. These values are reflected in the graph as well.

The Flash 8 allows you to program up to five flight conditions. This powerful feature lets you define
customized trim values and mix settings for different phases of flight.
The flight conditions for helicopter models are:
1. Normal
4. Idle-3
2. Idle-1
5. Hold
3. Idle-2
The following features support flight condition programming in HELI mode:
Gyro
Revolution Mix
Swash > Throttle Mix
Throttle Curve
Pitch Curve
19. Press the back button to return to the model function menu.
To disable the pitch curve:
1. Scroll to highlight the “MIX” field in the pitch curve menu and
press the jog dial to activate the menu.
2. Select “INH” (inhibit) and press the jog dial to confirm your
selection.
3. Press the Back button to return to the model function menu.
1. From the model menu, rotate the jog dial to highlight
“F.COND” and press the jog dial once to enter the flight
conditions menu.
If you are using multiple flight conditions, you must define pitch curve for each flight condition. The
top field of the P.Curve menu allows you to select the desired flight condition. Alternately, you may
select the desired flight condition using the assigned F.Cond switch.

18. To set up Pitch Curve in accordance with a Flight Condition
− The upper right field of the menu displays which flight
condition is currently active and will be programmed.
− Scroll to the Flight Condition field and press the jog dial to
activate the menu.
− Choose the desired flight condition and press the jog dial to
confirm your selection.
