Calling a program with SEL PGM and CALL SELECTED PGM
Use the function
SEL PGM
to select any program as a subprogram
and call it at another position in the program. The control runs
the called program from the position where it was called in the
program with
CALL SELECTED PGM
.
The
SEL PGM
function is also permitted with string parameters, so
that you can dynamically control program calls.
To select the program, proceed as follows:
To select the functions for program call, press
the
PGM CALL
key
Press the
SELECT PROGRAM
soft key
The control starts the dialog for defining the
program to be called.
Press the
SELECT FILE
soft key
The control shows a selection window that
allows you to select the program to be called.
Press the
ENT
key
To call the selected program, proceed as follows:
To select the functions for program call, press
the
PGM CALL
key
Press the
CALL SELECTED PROGRAM
soft key
With
CALL SELECTED PGM
, the control calls the
last program selected.
If an NC program that was called using
CALL SELECTED
PGM
is missing, then the control interrupts the
execution or simulation with an error message. In order
to avoid undesired interruptions during program run, all
paths to the program beginning can be checked using
the
FN 18
function (

and
NR111
)
