Routine Printer Maintenance

To prime the print heads

From the MAIN MENU, press F4, Operate to open the OPERATION menu.

Press F4, Prime. This procedure pushes a small quantity of ink through the print head
to clear the nozzles. The display changes to:

Close ink lines for

All ink colors which

are NOT to be primed.

ENTER when done

Close the Ink Bypass valves located at the back of the printer for the print heads that
will NOT be primed. The color that is to be primed should be switched open to allow
it the ink to flow through.

Press ENTER when done. The display changes to:
