3.6
Decommissioning
-
Press the „STOP“ button (Position 20-11). The generator shuts down.
During emergency operation (Option BLC 200) the motor runs without a
charge for a few seconds afterwards.
-
Turn the key switch to the „OFF“ position (Position 20-6), remove the key and put
it in a safe place.
-
Pull the consumer plugs out of the electrical sockets.
-
Close the noise protection cover and lock it.
3.7
Operating under specific climatic conditions
Working materials, see Section 1.11
(1)
Lubricating oil
• Choose viscosity (SAE class) according to the ambient temperature when starting
the motor.
(2)
Diesel fuel
• Use winter fuel below 0 °C in order to prevent paraffin separation in the fuel
system.
(3)
Battery
• When the generator is out of use for a long time, the battery must be removed
with temperatures below -15 ° C and stored in a frost-free location.
(See Section 3.9)
3.8
High ambient temperature, high altitude
With increased altitude or rising ambient temperature the air density increases. Thus,
the maximum power of the motor, the exhaust gas quality, the temperature level and, in
extreme cases, the start-up behaviour are affected. With use under adverse conditions
(higher altitude or higher temperature), a reduction in the injection fuel quantity and
therefore motor power is necessary.
If in doubt about the appropriate motor service, ask your motor or equipment suppliers
where, in the interest of safety, durability and exhaust gas quality (smoke), reverse
blocking should be performed or contact your GEKO SERVICE.
