4.6.2.1 Safety Valve disassembly
To disassemble the SLRV-PO safety relief valve it is necessary to carry out two operations:
disassemble the discharge pipe (pict. 4.6.2.A pos. C) and disassemble the complete valve from its
working seat.
Discharge pipe disassembly.
For the discharge pipe disassembly:
a) Unscrew the nut
(5) using a suitable equipment
b) Remove the pipe (6) ;
c) Remove the O-Ring (7) ;
d) By means of a wrench (22 mm key), unscrew counterclockwise the discharge pipe extension (8) ;

Valves body disassembly.
For the valves disassembly from its working
a) Unscrew the nuts

b) Remove the complete valve (19)
c) Remove the half rings (15) and separate the valve (19)

d) Then, remove the O-Ring (10)
e) Remove the valve seat (14) containing the ball (13)
f) Remove the O-Ring (12) ;
WARNING
Pay attention to not loose the ball (13): the valve cannot work without it; we recommend to
keep a spare seat and a spare ball.
WARNING
Valve maintenance des NOT need the spring or any other internal component (19) replacement;
therefore if one these components is tampered it could seriously damage the functioning of
the valve.
g) Carefully clean the seat (14) from products residues paying attention to not damage the seal
section;
h) If the seal section between the seat (14) and the ball (13) is damaged or worn, it is possible to
have some products leaks; moreover, the valve could work at a lower pressure than the original
set value. For these reasons, replace the seat and the valve, if necessary.
