APPENDIX C Post-Installation Checkout Procedure & Warranty Registration
C.1 Post-Installation Checkout Procedure (G900X Only)
This appendix contains the post-installation checkout and warranty registration procedures which are
required to be performed after installing the G900X Integrated Avionics System. It is assumed that the
person performing the post-installation checks is familiar with the aircraft, has a working knowledge of
typical avionics systems, and has experience using the test equipment defined in this section.
NOTE
Unless otherwise noted, all procedures apply to both two-display and three-display
systems.
C.1.1 Required Test Equipment
The following test equipment is required to conduct and complete all post installation checkout
procedures in this section: (All test equipment should have current calibration records)
•
VHF NAV/COM, & ILS ramp tester or equivalent
•
Transponder ramp tester or equivalent
•
Pitot/static ramp tester
•
Digital Multi-Meter (DMM)
•
Ground power unit capable of supplying 28 Vdc power to the aircraft systems and avionics
•
Outdoor line-of-site to GPS satellite signals or GPS indoor repeater
•
Headset/Microphone
•
Digital Level or equivalent
C.1.2 Hardware/Software Compatibility
Follow the instructions below to verify that all G900X Garmin LRU serial numbers and software versions
match the warranty registration checklist.
1.
Place the G900X in Normal mode.
2.
Use the FMS knob on the MFD to select the AUX - System Status Page (Figure C-1).
3.
Verify all LRUs have green check marks in the STATUS field.
4.
Use the FMS knob to verify all G900X Garmin LRU serial numbers match the warranty
registration checklist.
NOTE
The GTX 33 and the GMA 1347 serial numbers must be verified on the serial number tag
located on the LRU.
5.
Use the FMS knob to verify all G900X Garmin LRU software versions.
6.
Document the software versions specified in Table C-1.
