4.5.1 Application 1 - Process measurement
With application 1, the SFC operates exclusively as a measuring
device. A maximum of four freely configurable alarm relays are
available. The type of measurement is determined by the type of
the sensor measuring module. Controller outputs are not
supported in this application.
Picture 8 gives an overview of the available inputs and outputs of
the SFC.

Picture 9 shows a sample implementation of application 1 as
individual process measurement. The measured value can be
forwarded via mA signal or CAN bus to a higher-level controller.
