This MN040062EN manual (“DX-NET-PROFINET2-2 – PROFINET communi-
cation interface for PowerXL™ DE1 variable speed starters and DC1 variable
frequency drive”) is the original operating manual and describes the DX-NET-
PROFINET2-2 communication interface for DE1 variable speed starters and
DC1 variable frequency drives.
The subsequent chapters provide specialist information needed to configure,
install and operate the DX-NET-PROFINET2-2 communication interface.
Special functions such as “Access to cyclic and acyclic data of the variable
frequency drive and variable speed starter” are also described.
0.2 Target audience
This manual, MN040062EN, is intended for engineers, electricians, and
automation technicians.
A thorough knowledge of the ProfiNet communication system and the
programming of a ProfiNet master is required.
Likewise, it assumes that readers are familiar with how to operate the
DE1 variable speed starter and/or DC1 variable frequency drive.
Please read this manual carefully before commissioning the DX-NET-
PROFINET2-2 communication interface.
We assume that you have a good knowledge of engineering fundamentals,
and that you are familiar with handling electrical systems and machines, as
well as with reading technical drawings.
