INITIALIZING THE METAL DETECTOR (STARTING UP 

THE MACHINE WITH METAL DETECTOR)  

FIGURE 128

If your machine is equipped with a metal detector, follow 

these instructions to initialize the system. This must be 

done every time he two breakers on the control box are 

turned off:
1. Start the tractor engine.
2. Turn on the breaker and alarm switches. The alarm

and buzzer lights should be ”ON”.

3. Shift transmission to NEUTRAL.
4. Engage the PTO.
5. Shift transmission to REVERSE. The alarm and its

light should shut off.

6. Shift the transmission to FORWARD. If the alarm

remains OFF, you are ready to operate. If the alarm

comes on, go back to REVERSE. If the alarm stays

on, the system should be checked for possible fail-

ure.

IMPORTANT!

In order to get the metal detector system initialized, it is 

absolutely necessary to shift to NEUTRAL and then to 

REVERSE.

IMPORTANT!

If you stop the tractor for more than a few minutes, 

switch off the two breakers on the control box to prevent 

the tractor battery from discharging. In this case, you 

need to initialize the metal detector when restarting.

NOTE

:  Refer to the ”TROUBLESHOOTING” section to 

locate and solve an eventual problem.

STOPPING THE MACHINE

Follow these instructions to stop the machine:
1. Switch the transmission to NEUTRAL.
2. Disengage the tractor power-take-off (PTO).
3. Engage the parking brake and block the equipment

wheels.

4. Turn off the tractor engine.

IMPORTANT!

If you stop the tractor for more than a few minutes, 

switch off the breaker on the control box to prevent the 

tractor battery from discharging.
