CORN CRACKER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 14 - FIGURE 89
The operator can select the cracking conditions at any
time by modifying the clearance between the cracker
rolls and/or the pressure of the upper roll. Take note that
for modifying the cracking conditions, the clearance be-
tween the upper (item 1) and lower (item 2) cracker rolls
is the main adjustment.
The suggested initial clearance between the cracker
rolls is the number “2” on the left and right decals. For
example: If the arrow of the support (item 5) indicates “2”
on the right decal, the arrow of the left support (item 6)
must also indicate “2” on the decal so that parallelism is
maintained between the cracker rolls.
To adjust the pressure of the upper roll (item 1), use the
handle (item 3) and turn the left spring screw (item 4). As
initial adjustment value, leave a clearance of 1/16” (1.5 )
between the spring coils.
NOTE
: Remember that the clearance between the rolls
is the main adjustment for changing cracking
conditions. The smaller the clearance, the more
aggressive is the cracking process and the more
power is required.
